Friedrich KÖSTER GmbH & Co. was established in 1861 under the name of Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei J. M. Voss. The company has been family-owned for seven generations, and as such accords direct credibility to values such as continuity, a sense of tradition, adaptability and innovative spirit.
During the course of its history, KÖSTER has often been the first manufacturer on the market to supply technical solutions for varying situations, and has succeeded in adapting its product range to occasionally drastic changes on the market and selling its products worldwide.

The product range of the traditional company is versatile and stands out from mass products through the highest craftsmanship and perfect engineering skills. The product range is manufactured in-house and includes pumps, winches and wave machines as well as cast iron and steel components, hydraulic steel structures and fittings.
The family-owned company also offers first-class service. The range of services extends from comprehensive consulting to delivery and assembly of the products to maintenance, overhaul and repair - also for third-party products.
Specialist welding company with tested quality
KÖSTER GmbH & Co.KG is certified according to DIN ISO EN 9001:2015 as a specialist welding company with high quality standards for its products and services and is continuously recertified. In addition, the family-run company has various other certifications, such as DIN EN ISO 1090-2 and DIN EN ISO 3834-2 for welding work, the EC type examination for electric and manual winches and the approval of its own foundry as a material manufacturer.
