Practical in-company training
Our trainees are acquainted with all professionally relevant tasks in the company: procurement, in-coming goods, warehouse management, dispatch, production scheduling and control, costing and accounting, human resources and they learn all about the workflows in the Sales Departments of our product divisions Pumps, Winches, hydraulic construction and Castings and machining.
Theoretical vocational school training and university course of studies
The first two years of the training course include 6 sets of theoretical lessons in blocks of 5 weeks at a time at the Regional Training Centre Steinburg in Itzehoe plus lectures given by lecturers of the FHW. The contents of the training courses of the vocational school are aligned with the contents of the first two semesters of the business administration studies. The interim examination and the final examination are taken at the Kiel Chamber of Industry and Commerce at the beginning of the third year of vocational training and during the fourth year of vocational training respectively. Semesters 3 to 6 encompass full-time studies at the FHW. Whereby 3rd semester students go to some lectures from the first two semesters and catch up on any required examinations not yet taken. Students complete their industrial placement of at least 20 weeks in the 4th semester (practical semester). They complete their bachelor thesis parallel to the lectures in the 6th semester.
