ADLER electric winches for loading equipment

WE 1 with slack switch

with built-in stroke limit switch and slack switch

The slack switch shuts the winch off when cable slack occurs. Shut-off is triggered by a roll attached to the cable. The normal maximum shut-off distance depends on the roll width and cable diameter. If the slack switch is to be laid out for a larger stroke, then the roll is extended over the full width of the drum. The same applies when winding several cables onto a drum. The standard winches are designed for fixing to the ground and horizontal cable payout. Other means of fixing and cable payouts available upon request.

The slack switch can also be supplied in special design with follow-up control, automatically ensuring that the winch lowers the loading funnel at the same time as the truck sinks under the load (environment protective loading of bulk goods).

In cases where the drum has several cables, each separate cable is monitored by an appropriate switch for single disconnection.

The standard type of protection for the slack switch is IP55. IP 56 or IP 65 are also achieved by introducing special protection measures. IP 67 is standard on cable slack switches for single disconnection.

Large scale industrial plants operate nowadays in conjunction with memory programmable systems (PLC control). These devices partly incur the use of limit switches with thin gold-plated contacts. Such contacts are also available.

If it is not possible to fit the switch directly to the winch because of other fittings getting in the way it can be supplied in combination with a cable pulley.
