Cable wind-on

- Minimum pitch of the 1. cable roller

- Cable payout

- Electric winch with cable press-on roller

- Electric winch with cable wind-on device
General
Electric winches are supplied as standard with grooved cable drum. In order to ensure proper winding on of the cable, care must be taken to make sure that the lateral deviation of the cable is under no circumstances larger than 4° (1:15) (DIN 15020, Sheet 1). The minimum pitch of the cable roller is calculated on the basis of the wound-on drum width.
The cable payout onto the drum can effected from all directions.
Cable press-on roller
The press-on roller is primarily designed for use in conjunction with winding on of the first layer and serves to press the cable into the groove, thus preventing it from jumping off in the case of slack. A spring-loaded pressure roller can also be supplied upon request. In this case, several layers are wound on. The cable press-on roller should be fitted exactly to the cable payout position. Bearing this in mind, the cable payout direction should be stated when ordering.
Cable wind-on device
A cable wind-on device is necessary when the cable is to be wound properly onto the drum over its full width. The cable is moved to and fro with the aid of 2 guide rollers and a cross thread spindle. The drive is effected by means of a worm and bevel gear from the cable drum. The cable payout direction angle must be established prior to an order being placed because it cannot be changed later on. The lateral deflection of the cable from the wind-on device may not exceed a maximum of 4°. The wind-on device cannot be used as a cable window.
