Installation

Pumps and steel water control structure components from Köster are high-grade products designed for long service life under the toughest conditions. It is, nevertheless, still possible that they contain sensitive parts. An example are the shaft bushings made of silicon carbide ceramics used in the propeller pumps, which are extremely resistant to wear and friction but which can easily break when impacted e.g. when improperly installed.

Bearing this in mind, we strongly recommend that you not only have your large-scale components and pumps manufactured by Köster but also have them erected and put into operation on site by professional Köster installation personnel.

Köster operate several erection and installation teams complete with service vehicles, all fully equipped with tools ranging from lifting gear to welding equipment, to accomplish all the work required on site in a truly professional manner. Our erection engineers are more than accustomed to supplying first-class work even under difficult, confined space conditions, on tight time schedules and in close co-operation with other installations on the site.
